Derek Stegelmeier, CEDS
President
Derek Stegelmeier has been working in eDiscovery for over 10 years in New York City. He has worked at several large New York law firms, staffing agencies and eDiscovery vendors as both a project manager and as a director leading operations in the eDiscovery space, contracts review, redlining and organization as well as data breach manual reviews and notification lists. He has pioneered and adopted several tools for all aspects of legal technology, including those that leverage artificial intelligence. During his time in eDiscovery he has helped guide law firms and corporate clients through their technological legal challenges as well as workflows and strategies to increase quality and efficiency at all levels.
Matt Cowherd
Vice President
Matthew Cowherd, Counsel at Redgrave LLP, brings extensive experience in representing and advising clients on discovery matters in complex commercial and civil litigation. His expertise spans all aspects of motion practice and trial proceedings.
In his role, Matt provides strategic counsel on discovery approaches for litigation and investigations, while also offering practical guidance on information governance strategies. Leveraging his background as a seasoned litigator, he assists organizations in implementing enterprise risk mitigation initiatives, with a focus on best practices in information management and litigation preparedness.
Matthew's credentials include an LL.M. in Litigation Management, eDiscovery certification from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), and a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Jennifer Negron, CEDS

Jennifer Negron is a seasoned Discovery Attorney at the New York City office of BakerHostetler, where she is a valued member of the E-Discovery Advocacy and Management (EDAM) practice group. With 14 years of experience in the field, Jennifer has established herself as Certified eDiscovery Specialist and gives back to the eDiscovery community by leading ACEDS certification study groups. She excels in project management, overseeing off-site vendor-assisted document review teams and litigation support teams. Jennifer is adept at designing comprehensive eDiscovery workflows, from processing to production, across a wide range of legal topics. Her expertise ensures efficient and effective management of complex legal matters.

Veronika Golberg

Veronika brings 14 years of specialized experience in litigation support, with expertise spanning both operations and business development in the Court Reporting and E-Discovery fields. In her role, she provides clients with end-to-end consulting across all phases of the litigation lifecycle, guiding them from data collection through to production. As a Client Relations Director, she proactively oversees vdiscovery’s project management team, ensuring tailored, optimal services that meet each client’s unique needs.
Ignatius Grande, CEDS

Ignatius Grande has been advising clients on issues relating to electronic discovery, digital forensics, and information governance for more than 15 years. With his legal and technical expertise, he is able to bridge the gap that can exist between IT and legal/compliance personnel. Ignatius has worked with both law firms and companies to guide them through the eDiscovery and the forensic investigation process and has overseen the collection and production of data for numerous complex matters. Ignatius has served as formal eDiscovery liaison for clients and has represented parties in eDiscovery disputes before a variety of regulators. He also serves as a neutral forensic examiner and special master for discovery disputes.

Sherer is a Partner in the New York office of BakerHostetler, where he co-leads the Emerging Technology Team for the Digital Assets and Data Management Group while directing Information Governance, Data Privacy, and Artificial Intelligence engagements. James holds an MBA, the CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, and PLS data privacy professional credentials, the AIGP AI credential, the CIP and IGP information governance designations, the UCLA Extension Global Cyber Institute’s Cybersecurity Certification, and the CEDS and eDPC eDiscovery specialist credentials. James is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and serves as a member of The Sedona Conference® Working Groups One, Six, and Eleven and the IEEE Organizational Governance of AI Working Group.
